Happiness is not determined by what we normally see in magazines, on
television, in the movies, or on various web sites of the internet. As believing
Christians, our source of happiness is not material success, fame, or unending
hours of leisure and pleasure. Rather, what God intends for us is complete
joy and a sense of well-being. Our ultimate destiny is to be eternally happy
with God in heaven, a goal of Divine Union. The Beatitudes of Jesus given to
us in Matthew 5:3-12 and Luke 6:20-26 point the way to true and lasting
happiness!
